Yvonne Angell began her scientific career at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She received a
pharmacy degree and a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry, followed by a post-doctoral NIH fellowship at the University of
Minnesota. Her career in industry includes various research and management roles at Eli Lilly, Wyeth,
Affymax, and Ipsen. She has over 15 years of industry experience in drug discovery research. She has
discovered and developed novel peptides, and managed research programs from the initial hit through lead
optimization, preclinical and into development. Her technical expertise includes the design and synthesis of
novel peptide sequences, architectures, and conjugation strategies to improve lead potency and stability. In
2008 she started Picotide Technologies.
